IT’S FINALLY HERE GUYS. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
In the beginning of the year, I thought it was going to be so different. I thought I’d get a job, get my license, start driving, etc. It never happened. If I were my past self, I would hate it. I would feel worthless, angry, like I don’t belong anywhere.
But I’m different. I’ve changed. I wanted this change for a long time. My anxiety caused me to be a shitty person that wanted all of the materials that I could possibly get, but I don’t want that now. I want happiness for everyone I love. I’ve made friends that I thought I’d never have. We go places, we have plans for the future, we want to stay involved in each others lives.
I’m not mad at 2016, I’m not disappointed. Yeah, some bad things around the world has happened, but how can it get worse? Trump being president? He can’t be as bad, give him a chance. Going to college? It can’t be as stressful as high school.
It’s going to get better for everyone, I can’t promise it, but I want to believe it’ll get better for everyone. My parents, my sister, me…
I’ve lived a rough life, but it can’t get much worse, can it?
12 days of blogmas is winding down to the end. I hope you all have a good Christmas with your family. Speaking of family, it’s today’s topic of interest.
Why is family important this time of year? Well, at my age, everyone has issues with their family. I’m about to graduate and I get annoyed with what I’m going to do after high school. My parents don’t bother me about it because even they know I don’t know what I want to do. All I know is that I’m going to my local community college then transferring in 2 years to a state university and getting a bachelors degree in history. Every high school senior gets annoyed with questions like that. Teenagers themselves just ARE annoyed by their family, but they don’t treasure it like others do. I only enjoy my parents and sister family Christmas. I don’t feel comfortable with my other family members. They don’t understand how I feel.
Some people take advantage of their family Christmases, wishing for these BIG presents, but others look for happiness. I’m poor. As long as I get presents, I’m happy. I know my parents struggle, I’m trying to help them by getting my shit together so they don’t need to help me with money. It’s bad enough my band trip this year costs $800 to go to Disneyland, but they want me to have fun with things I couldn’t have before.
I’m going to head out now. Don’t forget to breathe 🙂
Well, I am, but I’m not. I would be on Santa’s nice list (Probably????) but I haven’t been the greatest person mentally in the start of the year and that’s the reason why I started this blog: to help make me mentally stable again.
This one’s going to be short because I’m feeling sad about what I just wrote ;-;
I would say that I WOULD be on the nice list, because since the end of summer, I’ve been trying my hardest to better myself. I want to be happier and being happier would make me nicer 🙂
Stockpiling these up is hard on my brain, I’m happy I’m almost done with them lol.
Anyways! Today’s blogmas is going to be on my favorite Christmas book.
When I was younger, my grandma bought this BIG Christmas book that wall full of Christmas stories. I loved it so much, I read it outside of the holidays. It was just so cool.
There was a story inside that big book that was about a girl and her reindeer. It was called The Wild Christmas Reindeer. It was about the girl who was very harsh on the reindeer of Santa’s sleigh, so she had to try and be nicer. It was ONE of my favorites. My favorite overall was called The Mitten.
In the story, a little boy loses one of his mittens, but the animals of the forest find it. One by one, they all fit inside it. Just look at one of the covers of it!
It’s such a cute story. I recommend reading it to your children.
Hey! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas time so far 🙂
For today, I’ll be telling you guys my smol list of Christmas traditions.
Well, my family moved here from Germany around the turn of 1900, so we have a very small amount of our German traditions left. My mom’s side of the family doesn’t get together anymore because five daughters causes drama, but on my dad’s we get together every Christmas. When we decorate the tree, we have a pickle ornament hidden within the tree. Whoever finds it gets a treat, present, or they get to hand out presents. Depends on the situation.
Within my family, my mom makes cookies every year. We used to make cookie ornaments, but my sister and I grew out of it. Nowadays, because we’re all getting older our traditions are beginning to die out, BUT I’m kind of hoping my sister gets married to her boyfriend so they can start having a family so I become an auntie c:
That concludes all of my family traditions, start your own traditions! 😀
